Most Spooktacular!

I told you I would make up for my Halloween lameness at work! I won Most Spooktacular costume at the annual Hikey Haloween party! I am dressed as a mime. A spooky fantastic mime. And yes, I am doing my post at 2:24 am before I go to bed because I am afraid I will miss my first post of the month here because tomorrow is Saturday. I have had quite a few adult beverages so please excuse me if I say anything bad or have multiple misspellings.

I have to tell you today is creepy. Not just because it is Halloween, but because 11 years ago today my world stopped spinning. My first love was killed in a car wreck. And it was a Friday which makes today extra creepy.

I like to have many philosophical discussions in this state, on this day. Are we destined one true love? Why are we here? I guess we'll never know until it all plays out, but I still like to get everyone's opinion.

I must admit I hate being single. But I almost believe I have had my one true love and my life is meant for something else. But then the next minute I think God has some amazing love and family planned for me.

Either way, Halloween will always be filled with questions and a deep sadness. But it is good that it is a fun holiday that allows me to hide my face and my pain behind crazy fun hijinks!

But regardless of our circumstances I think everyone is haunted by the "what if?" I guess we just have to push it aside and not dwell on the past.

"In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps." -Proverbs 16:9

Tomorrow (actually today) I am locking myself in my house until I clean every surface and put away my 3 weeks of laundry. Seriously, if I am on here 2 days from now complaining about the state of my house, send me some horrible awful punishment because that will be a major FAIL!

Hahah! A creepy mime sounds like an awesome Halloween costume! :P

That's really sad about your friend being killed in a car accident. What an awful thing to have to go through, especially if you were dating them at the time. :(

Hi! I found your blog through NaBloPoMo, and I find it so inspiring (I'm 28 too). It makes me want to write my own list :)

So sorry to hear about your first love. I think everyone deserves to have love in their life, and I'm sure it won't be the same, but I hope you find another.

I love this topic, about God's plan for us versus what we want out of life. So much to think about!

Happy NaBloPoMo!

I really like the premise of your blog. I am at the very same age and I just found my true love a year and a half ago. It really takes some faith sometimes to think that there is someone out there just for you.

Also, my sincere condolences over the loss of your first love. My heart goes out to you.
