When I read the Twilight books, I devoured them. I would read all the time obsessively. But I have discovered something I like just as much as Harry Potter and Twilight- Jodi Picoult!
I read her book My Sister's Keeper a few years ago and loved it. I didn't want to ruin it with a book of hers that may not be as good so I didn't read any of her other books. But I just recently decided to pick up The Pact- loved it! And just finished Plain Truth- loved it too!
Her books are one of the few that I just can't put down like Twilight and Harry Potter! But in a totally different way because they are not about vampires or wizards.
Go read my review of Plain Truth on my Bookshelf Blog

Thanks for the suggestion--I'm going to try her. I've been scared to get into anything b/c of my great love for Harry Potter...this sounds great!
I love all of the Janet Evanovich books. Her books are what got me back into reading again! I got my sister and my godmother hooked on them! They are hilarious! I love books that just make me giggle.
A lot of people have suggested Jodi Picoult to me, so I guess I'll pick some of her books up. They seem so serious though, so that is why I'm a bit hesitant.
I couldn't put down Perfect Match, Nineteen Minutes and Handle with Care. She is so awesome!
So... I have a few favorites... I actually didn't get into reading really until I read the Harry Potter books... so all of these have been my "after" authors and I adore them...
- Nicholas Sparks (warning - I can't put them down)
- Nora Roberts (she's great... read Black Hills, the new Bride Quartet Series... or Blue Smoke to start... or the seven signs trilogy)
- If you are ok with Religious fiction, read Karen Kingsbury... especially the Baxter Series!!!!!
Others who keep me entertained:
- Jennifer Weiner
- Jane Green
- Sophie Kinsella
- Meg Cabot
I also just finished reading The Swan House (Elizabeth Musser)... great book...
And Summer at Tiffany (Marjorie Hart) is great!
I recently read "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins. It was actually recommended by Stephenie Meyer on her website and I absolutely loved it. It is part of a trilogy and the second book "Catching Fire" is also out now. It isn't about vampires but it is an excellent read!
Along the same level of vampires etc..I recommended my girlfriend after finding out how much she loved twilight to read the Anita Blake series from Laurell K. Hamilton I could not put her books down! way before twilight the books just had me in awe. She also has other series that I will look forward to reading as well later down the line.
I have been really wanting to read The Hunger Games too that and her sequel (Suzanne Collins) has been on my TBR list.
right now I am about halfway through twilight and I find myself making excuses to read again ha ha, after twilight series is done though i vowed to finish my harry potter series through too(have 2 more books to read of HP).
another author that I find good too that you might like as well as I have some of her books is Sarah Addison Allen she wrote books called "Garden Spells" and "The Sugar Queen."
I also didn't mind the something borrowed/something blue series from emily giffin they were easy light reads and i loved some of the 80s references to the books ha ha
I love Jodi Picoult also, but just in small doses:) I absolutely love and have read all books by Debbie Macomber and Karen Kingsbury, esp the Baxter Series by Kingsbury and the Cedar Cove Series by Macomber.
