Oh why does life get so busy right when you have a life list to complete? I know I have been falling behind on this blog and my list lately. Life just got busy. Work is busy. We have about 60 listings right now which is more than double what S had this time last year. We usually get 4-5 new ones every week and it gets challenging when you have a small staff. Everyone has to pitch in and make things happen. Plus there was that little yard sale I had last weekend that about pushed me over the edge. On top of that I have started getting up early to work out at 6 (okay, maybe 6:30 by the time I get there) every Tuesday and Thursday.
Given all this craziness I keep flip flopping back and forth on if I will be disappointed if I don't complete the 30 Before 30 List on time. I think I will, but I also think I probably won't be able to mark everything off on time. How do I make myself ok with this? I still will feel like I failed somehow no matter how I think about it.
I wish I could write more, but I am off to a workshop at Home Depot on painting. I have never painted a room in my life, but some rooms in my house really need new paint. I'll hopefully get some good tips that will help me when I try to tackle upgrading a room in my house!

Sounds like you've got your hands full :) You're accomplishing a LOT though, preparing for your big trip, working on the house upgrades, giving 110% at work (working towards that raise), etc. Don't beat yourself up, you're doing great !
The importance of the list is to motivate yourself with tangible goals.. and you've accomplished WAY more than you probably would have, without the list. :)
Keep going! I know your going to finish it! And I love hearing about the stories when you do! :)
What if you altered it? Made it 30 before 40 since you've already done some of the things and then did a project like the 29day Give for the days leading up to your birthday???
That way, you are still doing something and it's for others which could double and make up for your list.
??? Just a thought! Definitely don't stop though - just remove the time line and keep at it.
Thanks for your comment too btw! :)
Keep it up! I understand how things can get complicated when time is out of your control because of work. But, at least pick the most important items from your list and work your way through to acomplish those. You are doing great =)
Sometimes I post advices for these type of situations:

40 before 40?
I think you should be proud of all the things you have done! And don't worry about the unfinished things - you can always make another list!
Perhaps 30 before 2011? Give yourself a little more time. The good thing about each of our lists is that we can alter it as we please. Don't feel like you've failed because you've done so many things and encouraged so many of us to follow suit. I also think if we look at our lists there are things on there that we can cross of if we become creative about accomplishing them. Remember the movie a walk to remember, the sticker tattoo and the miracle. Keep going, you're doing great!!!

Oh you're going to have a ball painting your first room. Seriously, I find it quite fun!
Don't beat yourself up if you don't hit your 30 before 30. You've done a lot more off your list than most of us have set our minds to do before 30!
I told myself when I made my list that I would give myself enough time until I turned 31. Ideally, I want to finish it *before* I turn 30, but I think it still counts as long as its done before I turn 31 :-) Try to accomplish at least 1 per month.
I think you should keep on going! Don't stress over it but continue to work towards your goals... You created the list to do things you might not have, so keep working towards them. Time limit or not, it'll feel great to accomplish everything! :o)
Don't let yourself be disappointed if you don't finish your list by your 30th. Just remind yourself of all that you have been able to accomplish. I've extended my list deadline to the end of my 30th year to give myself extra time. One of my problems is some of my items on the list are things that I'll never be "done" with - they'll always be ongoing things. Not helpful when trying to "finish" something! ;-)
