I've showed you mine- show me yours!

I guess the movie "The Bucket List" made the idea of life lists famous. I decided to make one after reading "The Next Thing on my List" by Jill Smolinsky. It's stressful. But I am so glad I did it. It forces me to focus (somewhat). It pushes me to do things I would never do. And even if I don't accomplish everything on my list in the next five months, I will just push those over to the new 40 Before 40 List. It's my list, and I can make up the rules as I go!

I know I am not the only one with a "Life List". Do you have a 30 Before 30 list? A 25 Before 25? A 40 Before 40? or even just a list of things you want to do before you die?

I want to see! Enter the link to your list below. Tell your blog followers to check out your list and others over here.

And if you don't have a list, maybe this will inspire you to make one!

I've got one! I had been thinking about creating one for quite some time, then found your blog and decided that I just needed to do it. Such a great inspiration! :)

I'm such a negative thinker, I hate the idea of creating a list only to not achieve anything on that list :(

The only thing on my list of to-dos before I'm 40 is finally get a house. So sick of renting. In order to do that, I need to find a new job. I guess my list includes two things now :)

Wow, I think Ally and I are long lost sisters. I'm not a fan of making a list for myself either, I think that it would depress me. I've just never had to have a list to get the things I want, and then I also don't dream big like the rest of you fabulous listers! I said I wanted a house, so I went out and bought a house, I didn't really need a list to do it. And I have my goal of one day living at the beach, I have no idea when all of the cosmos will align and allow that to happen, but one day. My problem isn't with making the goals or even achieving them, it is putting a timeframe on them and feeling like a failure if I don't. I have enough pressure on myself already, I can't take that added to it. But Sue I love hearing about your tales of completing your list and I'm going to go visit these other blogs full of lists too! Good luck everyone!

I LOVED that "Next Thing On My List" book! I have passed mine on to a friend to encourage her. I didn't do a 30 before 30 list since I started my blog AFTER I turned 30 years old. But I recently started creating monthly challenged for myself. I am almost through my first one - I ran a 5k race this past weekend, my first one ever and I am NOT a runner by heart. I think lists are great OR even just a calendar in front of you so you can write down reminders or goals you accomplish. It helps you stay on track or hold you accountable. It works for me but I guess it's not motivating enough for everyone. Having a buddy to encourage is also key. I wish you and all your readers best of luck in your goals!

Oh no :( The MckLinky is now closed ?! Ugh.

Anywho, I really thank you for inspiring me to make a list of my own. I wanted to write one down after seeing "The Bucket List" but I never got around to it. Your concept of "30 before 30" was a much better motivation than "stuff to do before you kick the bucket" .. I'd rather think of turning 30 than dying. LOL
